A very beautifully cast Art Nouveau bronze coin tray featuring finely modelled grasshoppers and sheaves of wheat. Signed 'Hingre' and base stamped 'Louchet' (Paul Louchet)

*Louis Théophile Hingre (1832-1911) was a French painter, sculptor, engraver, illustrator and poster artist. He specialised in animal sculptures.
*Paul François Louchet (1854-1936) was an important painter, engraver & ciseleur working in Paris during the late 19th & early 20th Century. He worked with both gilded metals & ceramics. He later became an important founder of fine bronze pieces and the president of the bronze manufacturers syndicate.
CONDITION: Very good antique condition. General wear from usage to patination of centre.
