A twin-handled cameo vase, the opaque orange glass overlaid with deep violet then acid etched with possibly a scene of Lake Como featuring balustrading, urns and stylised flowers. Signed 'Richard' in cameo.

** In the early 1920s Etling et Cie retailed a range of cameo glasswares bearing the signature ‘Richard’.These were generally two-layered glass with simple floral or foliate acid cut décor. The Loetz glassworks in Czechoslovakia manufactured these designs. It is unclear whether the ‘Richard’ range of glass was supplied directly by Loetz to Etling et Cie or via Loetz’s Paris distributors, J. Jouve.
