A rare Art Déco glass car mascot modeled as a stylised fish. Signed 'Gueron' to side and 'Cazaux' & 'Gueron' to base.
French, Circa 1925.
David Guéron (1892 – 1950) set up his glassworks in Compiègne, then later opened the Verrerie d’Art Degué in Paris producing 'art glass' signed “Degué” in the style of René Lalique and other glass makers of the period.
In the mid 1920s Guéron collaborated with French artist & ceramist Edouard Cazaux (1889-1974) to produce a number decorative items in glass.
