Cristal Daum - 'Bouchon Iris' Scent Bottle

A vintage crystal scent bottle with a 'Pâte de Cristal' stopper in the form of an iris. The ribbed bottle in clear lead crystal. The delicately modelled iris stopper nuanced in purple, pale green & clear.
Engraved signature 'Daum France'.

French, Circa 1990s-2000s.

  • Pâte de Cristal is a paste made of molten lead crystal and moulded to form an object. This technique dates to the time of the ancient Egyptians & Romans. This method of glass casting was revived by Daum in the 1900s.
