Carlton Ware - 'New Stork' Ginger Jar

A large Art Déco ceramic ginger jar, gilt and hand enamelled in colours with a design of a weeping willow tree and storks on a 'Noire Royale' ground. The interior of lime green lustre glaze.
Printed Carlton Ware script mark in black with remenants of paper label. Impressed shape no 125/2.

English, C1940.

  • Note: This is a less common size of the Carlton Ware series of ginger jar shapes.

CONDITION: Excellent original condition with only very minor gilding loss mainly on the underside of the lid. No chips, cracks, restorations or crazing.
