Antique Carved Vegetable Ivory / Tagua Nut Topped Cane

An antique dress cane with malacca shaft, inscribed gilded collar and brass ferrule. The knob is of vegetable ivory / Tagua nut, exquisitely carved in the form of a quail emerging from an egg. The beak is of an indetermined carat gold.

CONDITION: Very good antique condition with wear commensurate with age & usage. Small area of discoloration on shaft.
