*André Henri Lavrillier (7 May 1885 – 28 January 1958) was a French medalist. He studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris.

*Leda and the Swan is a story from Greek mythology in which the god Zeus, in the form of a swan, seduces Leda, a Spartan queen. According to later Greek mythology, Leda bore Helen and Polydeuces, children of Zeus. The story was a popular subject in painting & sculpture throughout the history of art.
